Description

Wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle to class. Classes will warm up without heels and practice technique and choreography with heels on.

For heel classes, we recommend high heels that support your ankles. The thin but snug sole of the shoe allows the foot and ankle to be used, so do not go for a thick platform sole. The sole of a Salsa or Latin shoe is already a little too flexible, which means that the toe of the sole can easily bend under the toes in floor techniques. The Heels technique is best achieved with a thin stiletto heel, but you can definitely start with a thicker heel as well.

However, do not stress about the shoes! In the beginners’ course, you can join almost with any type of heels, as long as they are comfortable and they have intact heel tabs.

Heels

During this course, you will learn to dance with heels naturally and confidently. The course introduces the basic elements of the Heels technique, such as walking, weight transfers and alignment. After the warm-up, we will go through technical elements in the form of different walking exercises At the end of the class, we will focus on putting our souls into dancing with a choreography.
