The authorities’ recommendations and restrictions concerning Southwest Finland have been extended until the 24th of January. As a result, we, unfortunately, have to postpone the actual start of the dance season to the 25th of January and cancel most of our classes between the 11th and 24th of January 2021. We will send more information about the cancellations/changes to all the participants who have registered for the classes and courses by e-mail.

However, between the 11th and 24th of January, we will organize small group classes with the maximum of 9 participants + the teacher. You can find more information about this below.

The introductory week moves to week 4. From the 25th of January to the 3rd of February, all our drop-in classes cost only 6 € / class. Because our season starts later, our spring season will continue until the 20th of June. As a result, the Anytime right for those who have bought Spring Anytime in advance starts on the 25th of January and ends on the 20th of June 2021. We will extend the validity of all our punch cards purchased after the 30th of June 2020 until the 30th of July 2021.

Matias’ and Anna’s couple salsa courses, Pinja’s courses and classes, as well as Eve’s dancehall courses will be postponed to week 4. Awa Sowe’s workshop will be moved to Saturday, the 6th of March, and the start of the Heels beginners’ course will also be postponed. The Adult Ballet beginner’s course and the Musical Dance course will start as
previously announced, but the maximum number of participants for these courses is 9 dancers + the teacher. We will contact all the participants who have already registered for these courses by email to inform about these changes and to provide further information.

SMALL GROUP TEACHING BETWEEN THE 11TH AND THE 24TH OF JANUARY 2021
Some of our classes will be held as previously announced during the next two weeks, but the number of participants in all of the classes is limited to 9 participants + the teacher. Some of the classes normally held in our smaller hall (Hall 2) will be moved to the large hall (Hall 2) between the 11th and the 24th of 2021. Please note that from the 11th of January to the 17th of January, the classes cost the normal price, since the 6 euro introductory week will be moved to week 4.

Our small group classes can be booked through our reservation system. The registration starts on Friday, the 8th of January at 2 pm.

If your situation has changed and you cannot participate in the small group classes you have booked in advance, please cancel your reservations as soon as possible, so that someone else can take your place from the queue instead.

All the cancellations must be made no later than 6 hours before the class starts. If you do not cancel your class on time, we will charge you the price of the class. You can pay small group classes separately as single classes, with your punch card, or with your refund amounts/gift cards you received when we closed our studio in autumn.

We are really sorry about these changes and we want to thank you for your understanding
and patience. We hope to receive all the possible questions by e-mail: info@flama.fi.

Hopefully, the Covid-19 situation will get better as soon as possible and we can start dancing with our full schedule. Health and strength to all of you!

Flama’s schedule for spring 2021 has now been published, and you can find it here.

Our studio’s spring season starts on Monday, the 11th of January, and ends on Sunday, the 6th of June 2021. During the first week, we will have an introductory week within which each of our classes cost only 6€! Sign up for the classes in advance through our reservation system.

This spring, we have almost 60 different dance classes to choose from every week. Most of our solo classes are drop-in classes, meaning that you can join the classes whenever it suits you, either regularly or irregularly. The only exceptions are Eve Jamami‘s Dancehall Queenstyle Course for Beginners, Dancehall Course, and Dancehall Queenstyle Advanced Course on Wednesdays, Ida‘s Beginners’ Adult Ballet Course on Sundays, and Juulia‘s Musical Dance Course for four Saturdays. Besides, there are separate course fees for our couple dance courses.

Matias, Anna, and Pinja continue their couple salsa and bachata courses also in the spring. In addition to the existing classes, there will be completely new couple salsa and couple bachata courses for beginners. Read more about our couple dance classes here.

Minna Nerg starts as a new dance instructor at Flama this spring, and her new Caribbean Mix and Afrobeats classes will be held on Tuesday evenings. Furthermore, Juulia will have beginners’ Salsa Ladies Style classes on Thursday evenings. On Tuesdays, there will be Pauliina‘s Body Maintenance classes, and Anna‘s Reggaeton for Beginners on Saturdays.

Ida‘s kids’ classes return to our schedule, and they will be held in our familiar small dance hall downstairs (Hall 3) on Tuesday evenings. The classes for 3–4-year-old children take place at 17:15–18:10, and for 5–6-year-olds at 18:15–19:10. While the kids are dancing downstairs, you can for example come and join our Salsa Solo, Reggaeton, or Body Maintenance classes upstairs.

With our Spring 2021 Anytime Card (550 €/450 € for students/seniors), you can unlimitedly join as many classes as you want! The Anytime for the whole season also includes the couple dance courses, Ida’s Adult Ballet Course, Eve’s Dancehall Courses, Juulia’s Musical Dance Course, Pauliina’s Heels Intensive Course, and Anna’s Salsa Ladies Style Project Course. If you have at least four classes a week, this is the cheapest option for you. Get your Anytime access here.

It will be an amazing new dance year again, welcome to dance with us at Flama!
