Tomorrow they will start: Dance Studio Flama’s park dances, Dance at the Castle! The first dance classes will be held tomorrow on Sunday, the 3rd of June from 5 pm to 8 pm. From 5 pm to 6 pm, we will have a Salsa Solo dance class and it costs 5 € to participate. You can pay either by cash or card or you can use your own Flama punch card. After the dance class, there will be free dancing aka socials from 6 pm to 8 pm.
These park dances will take place each summer month from tomorrow onwards. Park dance classes and Latin-Afro Socials at Turku Castle Park will held on the following Sundays:

Sunday Dance classes from 5 pm 6 pm have various themes each week. The first two weeks we will have Salsa Solo by Anna Tolppa and Twerk by Meri Niemi, and there are more dance styles to come, so stay tuned! All the classes are open level / basics classes, so everyone is able to participate. The price of the class is 5 euros and you can pay it by card or cash or with your Flama punch card. Classes are held by Dance Studio Flama’s dance teachers.
Free dancing aka social take place each time from 6 pm to 8 pm. Our socials are full of Afro-Latin rhythms like salsa, bachata and kizomba. Socials are free of charge, so everyone is welcome.
The event is weather permitting and the location is Turku Castle Park on the harbor side of Turku Castle. Bus number 1 takes you just next to the castle, so you can reach the place with public transport.

Forecast for the coming summer: lots of dancing and sunshine! ☀️ Flama’s summer schedule has now been released. The summer season will be danced from June 1 to August 23, 2026. This summer, there will be a whole range of different short courses, drop-in classes, and of course, the popular park classes!
On your wedding day, many things can feel nerve-wracking but your wedding dance doesn’t have to be one of them! At Flama’s one-time wedding waltz course, you’ll practice the traditional waltz starting from the very basics. The course will give you confidence in your dance steps and help you learn the fundamentals of the waltz.
