Flama’s Summer Season Starts Tomorrow on Monday, May 28!

On June there will be two new dance teachers joining our team: Eve ‘Jamami’ Vuorenmaa and Tiia Kerttula. We will have many new classes such as Voguing beginners, Tiia’s Broadway and Latin Show and Eve’s Dancehall Queenstyle and Commercial Dance classes.

There is separate course fee for Dancehall Queenstyle intermediate course on Tuesday evenings at 20.15–21.15. Five classes cost 50 € and each individual class 15 €. You can pay this course fee here.

Evaleena ”JaMami” Vuorenmaa has been teaching street and show dances for over 15 years. At the moment, she teaches weekly classes in four different dance schools in Tampere, Ylöjärvi and Jyväskylä. She also gives intensive courses regularly around the country.

Evaleena is one of the leading Dancehall teachers in Finland. She finds her self-development extremely important and that is why she participates in intensive courses and private classes given by top teachers both in Finland and abroad. Eve wants to stay up-to-date to offer only the best for her students. There are not many significant DH dancers or teachers that have not been teaching Evaleena yet. Evaleena has currently two performing and competing dancehall groups called JaMam’s Cats sekä Rumble Squad.

Tiia started to dance at the age of ten, when she got into show dancing. That is the dance style she has been dancing ever since, but other dance styles have come along on the way. Soon after show dance, competitive ballroom dancing, Finnish lavatanssit as well as rock and swing dances came to the picture.

Dance hobby has taken Tiia far, as she has already been studying dance teaching with show dance as her major in Oulu University of Applied Sciences for two years.

Tiia has been teaching for several years and she has taught both adults and children. As a teacher, Tiia is happy, qualified and inquisitive. Her classes are versatile and challenging, but the atmosphere is still positive and encouraging. Active attitude and the joy of dance are the most important things in Tiia’s classes.
