The event is being held in honor of Dance Studio Flama’s 9th anniversary. Flama opened its doors in the autumn of 2017, and the dance community is now celebrating nine years of dance, music, and community spirit. All dance enthusiasts are warmly invited to celebrate with us.
The evening will feature a Party Rueda class with Matias Löyttyniemi, a sizzling salsa party with DJ Papi, a spectacular live show by Vili Mustalampi & Los Fabulosos, and stunning dance performances by the Flama dancers.

Come get in the party mood before the evening festivities! This class is perfect for those who already know the basics of the rueda. You can sign up alone or with a partner. Anyone can participate in all Flama´s partner classes as a leader or follower, regardless of gender identity.

Los Fabulosos (The Fabulous) is a Cuban son music super trio founded in 2010. Son, which lies at the heart of Cuban music, is captivating, and these virtuoso musicians bring timeless boleros and rhythmic rumbas to life with sizzling energy.
The band’s guitars and vocals blend together with a classic, unhurried reverence, and the wild rhythms of the leather drums draw dancers in.
Ernesto and Mario, the brothers of Los Fabulosos, are second-generation specialists in Cuban music. The trio’s bassist, La Bomba, has been a member of Finnish Cuban music bands since the late 1990s, so this band’s performance is deeply rooted in tradition. Los Fabulosos fills the venue with decades of gentle nostalgia.

Matias Löyttyniemi has been traveling all over Finland for over ten years, spreading the joy of salsa and rueda from one town to the next. As a teacher, he is known for his infectious energy, clear teaching style, and sophisticated pedagogy.
He teaches everything from the very basics to teacher training, and there is inspiration and something new to learn for everyone. Matias’s classes emphasize the connection between partners, musical interpretation, and the joy of dancing. The classes flow naturally from technique to the dance itself, and his teaching draws on over 20 years of experience as a dancer and musician.
