Online Classes Tomorrow on Wednesday, March 25: Bachata Solo & Oriental Dance

Schedule for online classes on Wednesday, March 25:
18:00 Bachata Solo for Beginners with Anna (45 min) 19:00 Oriental Dance for Beginners with Hanna (45 min)

Bachata is a sensual Latin dance that comes originally from the Dominican Republic. Anna’s class concentrates on bachata footwork, the technique of hand and arm lines as well as body movements and rhythmic. You do not need any prior experience in dancing to participate in this beginners’ class.


Oriental Dance, also known as belly dance, is a soft dance style that is based on folk and female solo dances from the Middle East and North Africa. Hanna’s dance class focuses on the basic movements of oriental dance, its body language and the use of the head, shoulders and hands. This is a beginners’ class, so you do not need to have any prior experience in dancing to join us.

These classes are free of cost but if you want to support us, you can voluntarily pay for the classes via our webshop: https://flama.fi/en/tuote/online-dance-class/.


The price for a single class is 5 €. If you want to pay with Smartum Mobile or E-Pass or Edenred Mobile, you can accomplish the payment at your home. Type Tanssistudio Flama to Search Field and enter the total of 5 €.

Tomorrow the Last Summer Dance at the Castle: Pilates Class at 5 – 6 pm and Socials at 6 –8 pm

Tomorrow on Sunday, the 25th of August, we will have the last park dances of this summer next to Turku Castle at 5 – 8 pm.

The last park class is pilates and the class for the beginners is held at 5 – 6 pm.

The price of the class is 5 euros and you can pay it by card, cash or for example with Smartum vouchers. The class is held by Sarianna Jakobsson, who will also teach pilates at Dance Studio Flama weekly on Mondays at 7.15 – 8.15 pm.

Pilates is a method of body conditioning created by Joseph Pilates. It is used to develop eg. optimal posture, to strengthen the middle body and to deepen breathing. The movements can be adapted to every fitness level, so the class is suitable for everyone. Bring your own pilates mat or a towel with you.

The location is on the harbour side of Turku Castle. Bus number 1 takes you just next to the castle.

Friday Flama party will be celebrated on Friday, the 1st of March

Friday Flama party will be celebrated on Friday, the 12th of April from 9 pm to 01.30 am at Dance Studio Flama!

We will have two dance floors where salsa, bachata, reggaeton, kizomba and semba will be played late into the night. DJ Papi will play his best tunes and we will guarantee that we’re gonna have great time together!

The entrance fee is 8 / 7 € (the cheaper price by showing Flama’s valid punch card or Bailes Cubanos membership card). You can pay it by card or cash.

Remember to take your dance shoes or other indoor shoes with you because the shoes used outdoors will be left in the lobby.

Dance Studio Flama is located next to Turku Castle at Linnankatu 84. Bus Line 1 (Market Square–Turku Harbor) will stop just in front of Flama at the bus stop called Satamakatu and the bus trip from market square to the dance studio takes around 10 minutes. Check the bus schedule at http://www.foli.fi/ to choose the right time to come. If you decide to come by your own car, there are free parking spaces behind the dance studio and other parking options nearby, such as chargeable parking lots or ones requiring a parking disk.
