Come dance the wonderful Couple Bachata and get in the mood before the Flama Friday Social dance parties! Stanislav and Ella’s workshop will delve into the basics of dance posture, body alignment, and interaction with your partner. The style of bachata danced in the workshop is sensual bachata with zouk elements.

Bachata is a sensual and emotional dance and music style that is originally from the Dominican Republic. Bachata is now a highly popular dance with various styles: traditional Dominican style, sensual bachata, bachata moderna, and bachata fusion, which combines different styles. Bachata music is full of emotions and offers a lot of possibilities for various styling. The style of bachata we’ll be dancing in this pre-party workshop is bachata sensual with zouk elements.
Ella Malinen is a passionate bachata dancer. She has a background in ballroom dancing, which she began at the age of 9. Ella has competed both in Finland and abroad, and she has also danced in the Finnish national team.
Ella first got into salsa and bachata in 2018. Shortly after that, she discovered bachata sensual and social dancing. Ella has gained dance experience in various countries, at festivals, and in competitions. For her, improvisation, dancing without choreography, and connecting with her dance partner are the essence of dancing. For Ella, the most important thing about dancing is learning to move her body, regardless of the dance style.
Stanislav Stoykov is an experienced sensual bachata instructor who currently teaches in Tampere and Helsinki.
Stanislav’s journey in dance began when he was 10 years old. He has danced for years with the Bulgarian group Ansambe Varna and has won numerous awards. He started dancing salsa and bachata in 2014 and has been teaching bachata since 2023.
He has gained experience at bachata festivals across Europe and has taken numerous courses and private lessons from top instructors. Stanislav teaches bachata and BachaZouk.
