Salsa Fusion, improvers (8 sessions), Mondays 19.10.–7.12. at 19.15–20.10, instructed by Mirka Saali

Salsa Fusion is an energetic class where salsa is blended with the vibe of commercial dance and influences from reggaeton and other street dance styles. The result is a versatile, boundary-breaking style that lets you challenge yourself in a whole new way.

In these classes, the same choreography is practiced over several weeks, giving you time to improve, refine the details, and build confidence in your movement. Classes feature dancing to both salsa music and other hit songs.

The course is suitable for dancers who already know the basic steps of salsa; no previous experience in styles such as reggaeton is required

Mirka Saali

Mirka has been dancing different dance styles for a long time. She started dancing at the age of seven with ballroom dancing and continued until her teenage years. She found dance again in 2010 and fell in love with latin dances, especially Cuban dances. Since then, Mirka has explored and danced many different styles.

As a teacher, Mirka is compelling and purposeful but still easy-going. There is always a cheerful and enthusiastic atmosphere in Mirka’s classes. For Mirka, the most important thing in teaching is the joy of dance, enjoying the music and her own movement, and pushing her own boundaries.

Mirka has been instructing various dance classes at Flama since 2018, and she currently leads three of Flama’s performing dance groups: Flama Crew, Flaming Firecrackers, and La Calentura.
