Are the basics of couple bachata already well mastered? Would you like to bring more musical interpretation and styling into your dancing? In this course, we practice technique and free dancing in addition to patterns.
This course is suitable for those who have been dancing couple bachata weekly for at least two years.
You can sign up alone or with a partner. During the lessons, partners are changed in a circle. If you wish, you can also dance only with your own partner.
Anyone can participate in all Flama´s partner classes as a leader or follower, regardless of gender identity.

For the class, it is recommended to wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. You can dance with indoor sneakers, dance shoes, or socks. Take your water bottle with you.
Couple bachata level 3 is suitable for those who have been dancing couple bachata weekly for a little over two years. At this level, we deepen, vary, and practice what has become familiar in earlier levels, and in addition we learn new moves and challenge body movement. At this level, the focus is more on music interpretation, styling and how to create a shared musical experience from dance. The course does not only focus on practicing patterns, but you will also learn the correct technique for performing the moves and receive tips for social dancing.
The sensual bachata style taught in this course originated in Cádiz, Spain, and is generally attributed to Korke Escalona and Judith Cordero. In Sensual Bachata, sensuality, wave like body motion and intimate connection to the partner is emphazised. During the course safe techniques for Sensual Bachatas signature body rolls, head rolls and dips will be practiced.
Pinja has been dancing a wide variety of genres since she was a child, but she has focused her studies on Bachata and has actively trained abroad under the world’s top Bachata dancers to improve her skills. Her love for the dance and the music itself has also led her to work as a Bachata DJ both in Finland and occasionally abroad.
Since 2015, Pinja has worked as a freelance dance and group training instructor throughout Finland and has also taught at numerous events and festivals abroad. Over the years, she has also organized several dance events in the Helsinki metropolitan area, with her best-known project being the collaborative event Helsinki Bachata Blast. Currently, Pinja teaches regularly in Helsinki, Turku, and Kouvola. She is a trained physical therapist, so her classes focus heavily on movement that is natural to the body and beneficial to health.
In her classes, Pinja emphasizes the importance of mastering technique and performing movements safely, but she also values a lively atmosphere and a cheerful mood!
