Would you like to dance like the music video star of your own life? In our commercial dance classes, we combine and utilize techniques from various dance styles while aiming for a bold, music-video-inspired attitude. In this course, we’ll dance to hit songs from today and years past and throw ourselves into a choreography designed by Salla. In addition to dance skills, you’ll get to practice expressing yourself and finding your own movement language.
This course is suitable for beginners. You can join without any previous dance experience.

For the class, it is recommended to wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. You can dance with indoor sneakers, dance shoes, or socks. Also take a water bottle with you and remember to drink enough after class.
Commercial dance classes seek to cultivate a bold attitude reminiscent of music videos, combining and utilizing techniques from different dance styles. The main focus of the classes is on dancing choreographies, but we also practice the techniques needed for choreography and focus on performing and developing and trusting your own unique body language. The course lets you throw yourself into different styles of choreography and have fun together!
Salla has been teaching Twerk and Commercial Dance at Flama since 2020. She has more than 25 years of dancing experience. Salla has lead many performing dance groups and she has been a member in many performing dance groups as well. She now leads Flama’s Twerk and Commercial Dance Group The Honeys.
In Salla’s classes, the most important thing is to feel good, to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to enjoy the movement and maybe even exceed yourself! Learning the right and safe twerk techniques is important to Salla, and a lot of effort is put into it in Salla’s classes, especially in the classes for beginners.
