Hip hop

Want to tell others?

Hip hop is an urban culture born among Afro-American youth in the early 1970s. The four elements of hip hop, MC (rapping), DJing, break dance and graffiti, extend to music, dance and other art forms. The term hip hop dance is used to descibe specific movements that are danced to R&B and rap songs. Hip hop is a social dance that can be characterized both fast-paced and flashy and relaxed and bouncy.

Hip hop classes consist of a warm-up, practising the techniques and movements specific to the dance style as well as dancing choreoraphy and movement combinations to hip hop and R&B music.

Casual and preferably loose clothes that you feel comfortable in are the best choice for these classes. The best choice for footwear are sneakers that have only been used indoors. We also recommend that you bring a water bottle with you.

Beginners

The class is suitable for everyone, so you do not need to have any previous dance experience to participate.

Intermediate

The class is suitable for those who regularly attend hip hop classes and who already know the basic techniques of hip hop.
