Cano Monroy is a Mexican dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher with 15 years of experience as a performer and educator. He has worked and performed in Mexico, the United States, and Europe in numerous large-scale productions and festivals.
Cano has appeared in music videos by Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, and other reggaeton artists, as well as in live performances by several favorite artists (including Kaija Koo, Dulce Maria, and Maite Perroni). He has also worked for Adidas, Latin Billboards, and the Finnish National Opera, among others.
In his teaching, Cano emphasizes the importance of dance technique. He wants to share tools for a deeper understanding of one’s own body, which in turn improves the quality and expression of movement.
He teaches dancers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, and believes that technique is the key to development regardless of level: “Whether you are a beginner or an experienced professional, technique will help you develop your skills even further.”
