Roadwork in the Turku port area
Linnankatu and part of Satamakatu will be closed to traffic between Turku Castle and the port parking lots (Vallihaudankatu – Toinen poikkikatu) on Monday, September 8.
The roadwork will cause changes to traffic arrangements in the surroundings of the Linnankatu studio. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the roadwork affecting access to the studio.
Access by car
Parking spaces are still available behind the studio building (Flaman’s own spaces) and on Satamakatu.
From the city center, you can reach the Flama Linnankatu studio via the one-way Nuottasaarenkatu street (a one-way side street between Turku Castle and the Aura river). The route is marked on the map with purple arrows (driving to the dance studio property is permitted, even though the route is closed to other traffic). You can also drive to the studio via a detour along Vallihaudankatu and Satamakatu, past the harbor bus station.
Access by bus
Föli bus services will also be rerouted, and the bus stops in front of the studio will be closed. During the roadworks, the most convenient way to reach the studio by bus is from the Viking Line terminal stop, which is about a 6-minute walk away.
Access by bike or on foot
By bike or on foot, you can reach the studio from the city center via Turku Castle Park and Nuottasaarenkatu, which runs between Turku Castle and the Aura River. Coming from Herttuankulma, you can either go via Castle Park or take the detour to Linnankatu.
Schedule
The streetwork will begin on Monday, September 8, and this phase of the work will continue until December, after which Satamakatu will be reopened to traffic. Linnankatu will remain closed until June 2026. The attached map shows the future routes to the studio, which will be in effect until December.
Please allow a little extra time for arriving at the studio so that we can start the lessons on time. Thank you for your understanding.
