You can join these open level workshops even if you have no previous experience in this particular dance style. However, previous dance experience is helpful. In workshops you dance solo without a partner.

Ballroom Cha Cha is an energetic and fast-paced dance that is known for its snappy rhythms and playful attitude. In Cha Cha, the steps are fast, the turns are sharp and the movement of the hip plays an important role. The dance has its roots in Afro-Cuban dances.
The workshop will go through the rhythm, technique and basic steps of Cha Cha with different variations and build a short choreography based on what you have learned.
The ballroom rumba is a seductive and emotional dance that combines soft movements, strong accents and deep musicality. The slow and sensual rhythm creates its own kind of tension. Rumba also has its roots in Afro-Cuban dances.
The workshop will go through the rhythm, technique and basic steps of rumba with different variations and build a short choreography based on what has been learned.
Valtteri started his dance hobby with ballroom dance at the age of 8, and dance has accompanied him in his life ever since. During his long competitive dance career, Valtteri has achieved several final places and award in 10 dances as well as standard and Latin dances.
After an active competitive dance career, Valtteri has expanded his skills as a dancer and moved into coaching. He has appeared in numerous events and videos both in Finland and abroad. In 2023, Valtteri completed the degree of STOL, Finnish Dance Teachers Association.
Valtteri has worked as a coach in the TV format Dancing with the Stars in 2023 and 2024.
As a coach with his own style, he could be described as both gentle and demanding. Expressing movement as part of dance is important to Valtteri, and that is why he encourages everyone to find their own voice for the way they move.
