Julia Silverio will come to Flama to hold workshops that are inspired by the Afro-Cuban tradition and archetypes as well as free dance! During the workshops, you will practice the appearance of your own inner dancer. Attendance, dance expression as well as pair and group exercises are used as methods.

The workshops are held on the following Sundays at 11:00–13:00:

12.09. Ochún (celebration of life, joy and happiness)
3.10. Yemaya (empathy, flow and sorrow)
31.10. Changó (life energy, fire)
21.11. Obatala (peace, connection and sacredness)

Place: Linnankatu 84, 20100 Turku

Level: open level

Teacher: Julia Silverio

The course fee includes 4 x 120 min dance sessions.

If you are not able to attend all four workshops, you can also sign up for the classes separately. In that case, one session (120 min) costs 26 euros. Sign up for the individual classes by sending an email to info@flama.fi.

If you want to pay for the workshop with sport or cultural benefits (Smartum, Edenred, E-passi, Eazybreak), sign up by sending an email to info@flama.fi.

These workshops are meant for those who want to practice how to be authentic in movement and to be seen more widely and deeper as an authentic dancer.

Julia Silverio (Finnish-Cuban dance lover) has danced and studied Cuban dances for more than 15 years. She knows how to dance popular dances, but she is now passionate about freeing the spirit with the use of Afro-Cuban rhythms and archetypes.

Julia guides us to embody and find our own way of being and moving. Santería tradition works for her as an inspiration or a map to guide one to the place to embody what is important here and now.
