SHOW BURLESQUE
Show Burlesque combines show dance and burlesque with charming seduction and flirtation. You can dance with your socks, toe pads or high heels, we do not recommend you to wear any dance sneakers during the class. Normal flexible clothes are good, but you are more than welcome to wear something around given themes (for example fishnet tights). If you have sensible knees, it is a good idea to bring your own knee pads or leg warmers with you, because sometimes the movements include floorwork.
MUSICAL DANCE
Musical Dance classes draws inspiration from the world of film and stage musicals. During the class, we will especially practice expression and storytelling by dancing. The class is particularly for those who already have some previous experience in dancing and want to develop their performing skills further.
MIRKA SAALI
Mirka has a long history of different dance styles, so none of her Show Burlesque classes are identical. Years of experience is reflected in insightful and skilled choreographies that have been inspired inter alia by broadway, competitive dances and Latin dances.
As a teacher, Mirka is compelling and purposeful but still easy-going. There is always a cheerful atmosphere in the classes.
Miss Cherry ChaCha aka Mirka is also one of the dancers and choreographers of the glamGRLS’n’pantyHOES Show Burlesque dance group.
JUULIA NIEMI
Juulia is a professional sports instructor and sports massage therapist and she has several years of experience in instructing different groups. Dance classes as well as body maintenance are particularly close to her heart.
Dancing and performing have always been part of Juulia’s life in the form of theater, aesthetic group gymnastics, show dance, contemporary dance, jazz dance, Latin dances and latest show burlesque in a group called the glamGRLS`n`pantyHOES here in Turku.
Relaxed atmosphere, bold expression, letting it go, doing it to the full and physicality describe well her classes.
