In September we will dance Jazz with Wilma-Emilia Kuosa! Wilma-Emilia has been teaching dance for over ten years both in Finland and in France, specializing in Jazz Dance in France by finishing her Master’s Degree.

SHOW JAZZ
Show Jazz is about playing with sensuality and the more commercial side of jazz that can be seen inter alia in music videos and musicals. During this class, we will practice the more theatrical side of jazz techniques. The exercises based on Mattox technique improve coordination and dynamicity in your dancing. After the warm-up, we will start moving around the space and this is the great time to try dancing with heels!
During the speedy choreography part, we will be able to get into different stories and interpret them by taking various roles with typical jazz movements.
LYRICAL JAZZ
During this class, we will analyze differences between Jazz and Lyrical Jazz by concentrating on dance technique excercises. Mattox technique and improvisation are strongly present. The choreography part of the class will introduce us to be part of the music and we will look for our personal way to interpret the music.
YOGA FOR DANCERS
Flow Yoga calms us down to strengthen and stretch our bodies. Exercises opening heart chakra help us to find the dancer’s posture, and we will especially pay attention to right breathing throughout the yoga.
