Fabulous Voguing and House Intensive Courses at Flama!

Next weekend we will have two amazing intensive courses on offer – impressive voguing on Saturday and house dance on Sunday! Both of the intensive courses are instructed by Mira Taussi who also gives weekly Street Dance classes at Flama. Neither of the courses require previous experience in dancing, so just come and join us. Sign up now for the intensive courses by sending an email to info@flama.fi. Voguing Intensive Course
on Saturday, November 25 from 12 to 2pm

Voguing is a dance style that was born in New York and inspired by the fashion world. During this intensive course, we will learn the most characteristic techniques of voguing, such as model-like poses, arm movements and walking. There are various voguing styles and each style has its own typical body language. This course concentrates on New Way and Vogue Femme styles. In the end of the course, we will create a choreography that is based on the techniques we have learnt so far. No previous knowledge about voguing is required to be able to attend the course. Wear elastic clothes and bring a water bottle with you to the class.

House Intensive Course
on Sunday, November 26 from 1 to 3pm

House Intensive Course on Sunday, November 26 from 1 to 3pm at Dance Studio Flama!

House is a fusion dance that has been inspired by many different dance styles and it was born and developed in the clubs of Chicago and New York. During this intensive course, we will learn the most characteristic techniques of house, such as Jacking (bringing the rhythm of house music to the body) and deft footwork. In the end of the course, we will create a choreography that is based on the techniques we have learnt so far. Furthermore, we will do some freestyle aka improvisation exercises by means of the learnt techniques. No previous knowledge about house dance is required to be able to attend the course. Wear elastic clothes and flat-bottomed indoor shoe and bring a water bottle with you to the class.
