Cuban Rumba, improvers (8 sessions), Thursdays 26.3.–28.5. at 17.15–18.10, instructed by Roberto La Rosa Martinez

Cuban rumba is a traditional music and dance style and cultural form that emerged in 19th-century Cuba among the descendants of African slaves and the white lower social classes. There are three main styles of Cuban rumba: yambú, guaguancó, and columbia. In this course, all three styles of rumba are danced.

Rumba is an expressive dance that is often used as a “spice” within salsa. This course therefore also offers plenty of tools for social dancing: you will learn rhythm, movement dynamics, and improvisation skills that make salsa more lively and enjoyable on the dance floor. These are solo classes.

The course is suitable for those who dance regularly for example, those who participate in salsa classes.
