The Turku Sensual & Salsa weekend kicks off at Flamas with Carlos Correa’s partner salsa workshop and a fantastic dance party!
Carlos is a Cuban dance teacher with an impressive career, whose classes offer a deeper dive into Cuban culture – not to mention plenty of humor!
You can register for the workshop either alone or with your own partner. During the class, partners will be changed in a circle. If you wish, you can also dance only with your own partner.
Anyone can participate in all Flama´s partner classes as a leader or follower, regardless of gender identity.
The workshop is suitable for those who have mastered the basics of couple salsa, for example, those who have been dancing Cuban couple salsa for at least a year.
Time: Friday 20.3. at 18.30–19.30

The workshop participation fee also includes admission to the evening party.

Carlos Correa is an experienced Cuban dance teacher. Carlos was born in Havana and learned to dance Cuban rhythms on the streets of his hometown at a young age. In the 1990s, he arrived in Finland and began teaching Cuban dances to Finns at the Baila Baila dance school. During his long career, Carlos has traveled all over Finland and Europe. He has performed and taught at many salsa festivals in Finland, Russia, Poland, Germany, Sweden, and the Baltic countries, among others.
Carlos’ teaching style is clear and consistent, with a dash of humor. He teaches in fluent Finnish, but is also fluent in other languages. In Carlos’ classes, you can experience the uniqueness and deeper meaning of Cuban rhythms.
