This workshop focuses on female dancehall style moves. The class teaches more versatile movement sequences, feminine body use, groove, and attitude, and combines movements into smooth sequences.
The class is suitable for dancers who already have some experience of dancehall or similar styles. The aim is to deepen your knowledge of the style and learn new moves. The class also includes choreography..
The DHQ class introduces dancehall queen style through choreography, technique exercises, and acrobatic movements. The class covers the body language, strength, and attitude typical of the DHQ style.
You don’t need any previous experience with dancehall queen style – all you need is a willingness to try and challenge yourself. However, it’s good to have some other dance experience.
Anna is a dancer from Helsinki who has been dancing dancehall for over 15 years and teaching weekly classes and workshops for almost 10 years at various dance schools around Finland.
Over the past ten years, Anna has traveled to Jamaica numerous times to train with the best in the field and has participated in various dance events and workshops across Europe.
As a teacher, Anna is encouraging and energetic. The most important thing for her is to see her students develop, grow, and above all, enjoy dancing.
