Description
What if I can’t participate every week?
Absences from classes can be made up during the same term in any other class or drop-in session. This way, no dance session will be wasted! Read more.
What should I bring with me?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and feel good.
You don’t need shoes for the class, but you can bring your own water bottle and a yoga/stretching mat. Our studio also provides mats for use during the class. If you come with a baby, you can bring a blanket for them.
Maternity Pilates
Maternity Pilates is designed for expectant and postpartum mothers. You can attend the classes alone or with your child. The classes focus on connecting with your own body and breath. Exercises target the pelvic floor, strengthen the abdominal muscles, and build posture-supporting muscles throughout the body with Pilates movements. Gentle dynamic stretches for the whole body are also included, followed by relaxation. You can join the course at any stage of pregnancy or soon after giving birth, but it’s also fine if more time has passed since delivery.
