Slow rumba is a dance genre known for its rhythmic and emotional atmosphere. In ballroom dances, rumba belongs to Latin American dances, and the dance is originally based on e.g. Cuban son. Slow Rumba is a slower version of a traditional ballroom rumba. The steps of Slow Rumba are characterised by smooth movements, soft turns and emotional expression.
Valtteri Palin is a dancer and dance teacher from Turku, who was also a coach in Dancing with the Stars TV show in 2023. Valtteri’s main dance styles are ballroom and Latin dances. His classes have a communal and inspiring atmosphere.
Valtteri will be teaching wonderful Latin dances at Flama on three Sundays in June!
