Ballet Technique: Core Strength and Posture, open level (6 sessions), Mondays 24.8.–28.9. at 18.15–19.10, instructed by Lyylia Koivuniemi

This course focuses on perhaps the most important aspect of ballet: body alignment, an elevated presence, posture, and core stability. We approach simple dance steps and positions with a conscious focus on core control: where do I lift from, what do I lengthen, and how do I engage the correct muscle groups?

In addition to an effective workout for the abs, back, and obliques, we’ll do gentle exercises that enhance mindfulness and body awareness, seeking ways to connect and understand the relationship between simple exercises and ballet technique.

This course is suitable for ballet enthusiasts of all levels, as you’ll receive personalized instruction and the difficulty level can be tailored to your own ability.
