This beginner-intermediate workshop is suitable for those who have mastered the basics of paribachata. The bachata style practiced in the pre-party workshop is Bachata Moderna.

Bachata is a sensual Latin dance that comes originally from the Dominican Republic. The bachata style practiced in this course is called Bachata Moderna. You will not only learn figures but also the right technique of couple bachata and get some tips for social dancing.
In 2018, Giuseppe started dancing salsa and bachata in Italy, about six months before moving to Finland. Since then, dance has been a big part of Giuseppe’s life. Over the years, he has focused especially on bachata and has had the opportunity to train with international artists, such as Ataca and La Alemana. Giuseppe has also completed their dance teacher training, which dives deeper into their signature style, Bachata Moderna – a smooth, expressive and dynamic style of bachata.

Pinja has been dancing all kinds of different styles since she was a little girl, but eventually bachata won her heart. She has invested in studying bachata and developing her own skills by actively visiting the world’s top bachata dancers abroad. Since 2015, Pinja has been working as a freelance dance and group exercise instructor throughout Finland and has visited several events and festivals abroad to teach.
Pinja currently teaches regularly in Helsinki, Turku, and Kouvola. In her classes, Pinja emphasizes learning the techniques and safety of the movements, without forgetting to have fun and maintain a cheerful atmosphere. As a trained physical therapist, Pinja also wants to focus on natural and healthy movement in her teaching.
Her love for bachata and the music itself has led Pinja to also work as a bachata DJ both in Finland and sometimes outside Finland. Over the years, Pinja has organised several dance events in the Helsinki region, the most famous of which is the Helsinki Bachata Blast.
