Pops Xqlusiv

Lionel Foster, better known as Pops, is the founder of the famous dance group Xqlusiv. Pops started dancing at the age of 5 and is one of Jamaica’s most famous and respected dancehall dancers. In addition to dancehall, Pops dances other traditional Jamaican dances, such as the kumina and revival.

Pops has worked with many world-famous artists during his career. As examples can be named Elephant Man, Spice, Voicemail, Mr Vegas, Beenie Man etc. The Xqlusiv dance group has also won several high-level dance competitions and awards under Pops’ leadership. These include for example the International Reggae and World Music Award (Dance Choreography, 2013), KFC Skankaz at Magnum Kings and Queens (2017) as well as JCDC World Reggae Dance Championship (2017).

Pops is passionate about teaching and it shows: he is often titled as one of the best dance teachers in Jamaica. Pops is particularly known for his pedagogical skills, and his classes always have a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, where different learners are taken into account. Beginners as well as those who have been dancing for a longer time can be sure that they will learn a lot during the lessons and go home with a smile on their face.
