Who is it for?
The classes are suitable for intermediate dancers who want to indulge themselves, enjoy physical expression and find their own inner showdiva.
Dress for the theme! Halloween looks are more than allowed – a small prop or a whole look will add a magical vibe to your workshop.
Show Burlesque is a celebration of feminine power and confidence – classes immerse you in the glittering world of show dance, with movements that are playful, elegant and flirtatious. Inspiration is drawn from the aesthetics and attitude of burlesque, not forgetting the dark and theatrical atmosphere of Halloween.
Mirka has been dancing different dance styles for a long time. She started dancing at the age of seven with ballroom dancing and continued until her teenage years. She found dance again in 2010 and fell in love with Latin dances, especially Cuban dances. After that, she has danced many different dance styles.
However, Show Burlesque took her heart and gave a whole new meaning for dancing. As a teacher, Mirka is compelling and purposeful but still easy-going. There is always a cheerful atmosphere in the classes. For Mirka, the most important thing in teaching is the joy of dance, enjoying the music and her own movement, and pushing her own boundaries.
Since 2018, Mirka has been teaching different Latin dances and show burlesque at Flama. Mirka is also the leader of three of Flama’s performing dance groups: Flama Crew, Flaming Firecrackers and La Calentura.
