Come experience a dance-filled throwback to the decade that gave us bangers, beats, and parties!
Let’s step back in time and dive into the most iconic hits of the 2010s. This high-energy workshop is all about celebrating dance to the beat of the decade’s megahits. Beyoncé, Rihanna, Usher, Lady Gaga, Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj… do you remember how the dance floor lit up when these tracks came on?
Riia is a professional dancer from North Savo who has made her way around the world. She studied dance in Spain at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB), specialising in the commercial dance field. Since graduating in 2022, she has worked in Finland and abroad (as a performer, dancer, choreographer and teacher, among others) and has continued to train with top international names. She has a wide range of dance experience, but her heart is closest to street dance, commercial and contemporary dance, which has been with her for the longest time.
“The most important thing for me, both in class and in life, is always a good attitude: learning something new always takes time but trying, enjoying the mistakes and successes and experiencing them together is in the moment I always try to take into account the different learning styles of the students, encourage them with a good attitude and a familiar phrase from my mouth in class is ‘you are here for you and I am here for you’.
