Ria Pietikäinen
Ria started her career as a dance teacher and dancer in 2014, and it has been important to her from the very beginning to contribute to the local street dance scene and hip hop culture. Organising events, competing in battle competitions and travelling in pursuit of dance are a central part of Ria’s life.
The genres that Ria has expertise in are hip hop, popping and house. She has deepened her knowledge of hip hop culture and dance by studying at Åsa Folkhögskola in Sweden.
For Ria, as a teacher, it is important to share hip hop culture and dance tools. Ria wants to support her students in discovering their own dance identity and guide them into the world of hip hop. The classes will go through the basics – both movement and cultural – learn to understand and use them, and have fun!
