The Commercial class will dive into the world of music videos! The class starts with a warm-up, followed by a review of basic steps and technique, and finally a choreography session designed by Robyn. The class offers both fun and a challenge for the body and mind.
The heels class teaches you how to dance with heels naturally and confidently: how to move strong and soft at the same time. After a varied warm-up, Robyn teaches the basic elements of heel technique, such as walking and weight transfers. Finally, we’ll get into Robyn’s choreography, creatively combining precise details with a feminine, fluid movement style.
Robyn Vuorela is a dancer, actor and singer who also works as a choreographer and dance teacher. They are originally from Häme, but they have studied and worked in Helsinki, Stockholm and London. Robyn has a professional dancer’s degree from the Stockholm Ballet Academy and a Master’s degree in Musical Theatre from the London Studio Centre. They have been working as a dance teacher since 2015.
As a teacher, Robyn values presence and genuine encounters with their students. As we are all different as human beings, Robyn also actively seeks to develop theirself and find better ways to communicate and demonstrate to dancers of all kinds. Creating a safer environment where individuals feel valued and challenged is fundamental to Robyn.
Robyn has worked for example Vaasa City Theatre for the 2021-2022 season and as a member of Ismo Dance Company in 2022, as well as in TV productions such as Emma Gala 2020, Idols Finland 2019 and Tähdet, tähdet! 2019, and Saara Aalto’s Wild Wonderland summer tour 2018.
