Commercial Dance<\/h3>\n\n

In the commercial workshop, Robyn will guide you boldly into the world of music videos! The workshop begins with a warm-up, followed by a review of the basic steps and techniques, and finally, practice of the choreography designed by Robyn. The workshop offers both fun and a challenge for the body and mind. <\/p>\n\n

The workshop is for beginners. You can participate even if you have no previous dance experience. <\/p>\n\n

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise and bring dance shoes or indoor sneakers.<\/p>\n\n

Heels<\/h3>\n\n

The heels workshop teaches you how to dance naturally and confidently in heels: how to move powerfully and smoothly at the same time. After a varied warm-up, Robyn teaches the basic elements of heels technique, such as walking and weight transfer. Finally, you will immerse yourself in a choreography designed by Robyn, which creatively combines precise details and fluid movement. <\/p>\n\n

The heels workshop is easy to join, and you don’t need any previous experience in heels dancing.<\/p>\n\n

If you don’t have separate heels, you can bring high heels from home, as long as they have intact heel caps. You can also participate in the workshop without high heels. We recommend wearing clothes that are suitable for movement and make you feel confident. The workshop also includes floor technique training, so you can also bring knee pads or leg warmers to protect your knees. <\/p>\n\n

Robyn Vuorela<\/h3>\n\n

Robyn works as a professional dancer, actor, and singer, as well as a freelancer choreographer and dance teacher. They hold a Master\u2019s degree in Performing Arts from London Studio Centre and trained as a professional dancer at Stockholm\u2019s Balettakademien. <\/p>\n\n

Robyn is a well-known figure in the heels, commercial, and jazz dance industries, both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n

They currently teach weekly classes in Helsinki and Tampere. <\/p>\n\n

In their teaching Robyn strives to create an uplifting and inclusive environment where everyone is welcome to learn and move. Robyn\u2019s style of teaching is highly pedagogical, with a strong emphasis on building dance technique from the ground up. This involves breaking steps into smaller movements, and through repetition, incorporating them into choreography. <\/p>\n\n

Last summer, you may have seen Robyn singing and dancing on Viking Line\u2019s M\/S Cinderella. As a performer, they have worked at Vaasa City Theatre during the 2021\u20132022 season as well as with Ismo Dance Company in 2022. In addition, they have appeared in various TV productions, such as the Emma Gala in 2020, Idols Finland in 2019, and T\u00e4hdet, t\u00e4hdet! in 2019, as well as on Saara Aalto\u2019s Wild Wild Wonderland summer tour in 2018. <\/p>\n\n

Robyn\u2019s biggest inspiration is music and often musicality and storytelling are present in their choreographies!<\/p>\n\n
