What if I can’t participate every week?<\/h3>\n

Absences from classes can be made up during the same term in any other class or drop-in session. This way, no dance session will be wasted! Read more.<\/a> <\/p>\n

What should I bring with me?<\/h3>\n

For the class, it is recommended to wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. You can dance with indoor sneakers, dance shoes, or socks. Take your water bottle with you.<\/p>\n

Millennium Moves<\/h3>\n

Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, P!NK, *NSYNC, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Beyonc\u00e9\u2026 Now it\u2019s time to dance to the beat of iconic classics from the 2000s.<\/p>\n

At Millennium moves -course we dance Commercial Dance -choreographies by Wilma that draw inspiration from the music videos and pop culture of the early 2000s. This all of course accompanied by the hit anthems of the era <\/p>\n

A guaranteed burst of nostalgia awaits!<\/p>\n

Vilma Karttunen<\/h3>\n

Vilma is a dance teacher who graduated from Oulu University of Applied Sciences in spring 2021. Her path led her to Oulu, where she had the opportunity to focus on Show Dance. However, Vilma is enthusiastic and interested in many different dance styles. Teaching is Vilma’s passion, and she wants to share the joy of dance with people of all ages.<\/p>\n

As a dance teacher, Vilma has been described as nice, lovely and skillful. When asked for some feedback, dancers have told that she meets the dancers as themselves and that her classes have a warm atmosphere. In addition, dancers describe that Vilma’s teaching is all about being gracious about what you do, but still knowing how to challenge everyone on their own level.<\/p>\n

Vilma likes to create a fun, safe and evolving atmosphere in her classes. She is enthusiastic and inspiring and constantly wants to develop and learn interactively, drawing inspiration from different directions.<\/p>\n

Welcome to the heart of 2000s pop! In the Millennium Moves course, we immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of pop music’s golden era, guided by iconic songs. In the classes we get to enjoy the legendary pop anthems and to dance like in the MTV music videos. During the course we build a commercial dance choreography designed by Vilma <\/p>\n

So dig out your low-rise jeans, camouflage pants and your best tube top, put butterfly spikes in your hair and join in the nostalgia!<\/p>\n

This course is suitable for beginners. You can join without any previous dance experience.<\/p>\n
