What if I can’t participate every week?<\/h3>\n

Absences from classes can be made up during the same term in any other class or drop-in session. This way, no dance session will be wasted! Read more.<\/a><\/p>\n

What should I bring with me?<\/h3>\n

For the class, it is recommended to wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. You can dance with indoor sneakers, dance shoes, or socks. Some classes involve floor exercises, and for these we recommend bringing knee pads or leg warmers to protect your knees. Knee pads are also available for purchase in our online store and studios. Also take a water bottle with you and remember to drink enough after class.<\/p>\n

Millennium Moves<\/h3>\n

Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, P!NK, *NSYNC, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Beyonc\u00e9\u2026 Now it\u2019s time to dance to the beat of iconic classics from the 2000s.<\/p>\n

In the Millennium Moves Course, we will warm up and dance to Mirka’s Commercial Dance choreographies that are inspired by the music videos from the millennium. And all this, of course, accompanied by the greatest hits of the era.<\/p>\n

A guaranteed burst of nostalgia awaits!<\/p>\n

Mirka Saali<\/h3>\n

Mirka has been dancing different dance styles for a long time. She started dancing at the age of seven with ballroom dancing and continued until her teenage years. She found dance again in 2010 and fell in love with latin dances, especially Cuban dances. Since then, Mirka has explored and danced many different styles.<\/p>\n

As a teacher, Mirka is compelling and purposeful but still easy-going. There is always a cheerful and enthusiastic atmosphere in Mirka’s classes. For Mirka, the most important thing in teaching is the joy of dance, enjoying the music and her own movement, and pushing her own boundaries.<\/p>\n

Mirka has been instructing various dance classes at Flama since 2018, and she currently leads three of Flama\u2019s performing dance groups: Flama Crew, Flaming Firecrackers, and La Calentura.<\/p>\n

Welcome to the heart of 2000s pop! In the Millennium Moves course, we immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of pop music’s golden era, guided by iconic songs. In class, we\u2019ll get into the groove of legendary pop hits and dance just like in the old MTV music videos. During the course, we\u2019ll put together a commercial dance routine designed by Mirka.<\/p>\n

So dig out your low-rise jeans, camouflage pants and your best tube top, put butterfly spikes in your hair and join in the nostalgia!<\/p>\n

This course is suitable for those who dance regularly, for example, participants of commercial dance classes.<\/p>\n
