What if I can’t participate every week?<\/h3>\n

Absences from classes can be made up during the same term in any other class or drop-in session. This way, no dance session will be wasted! Read more.<\/a><\/p>\n

What should I bring with me?<\/h3>\n

For the class, it is recommended to wear clothes that are comfortable to move around in. You can dance with indoor sneakers, dance shoes, or socks. Also take a water bottle with you and remember to drink enough after class.<\/p>\n

Level 4 (2,5+ years)<\/h3>\n

This level is suitable for those who have danced couple salsa for several years. At this level, we deepen, vary, refine and practice figures that have already become familiar in previous levels. In addition, you learn new figures and body movements. At this level, the focus is more on music interpretation, styling and how to create a shared musical experience from dance.<\/p>\n

Anna Ketopaikka<\/h3>\n

Dance captured Anna’s heart at an early age: she started dancing at the age of 5 in Ballet classes at the Tampere Ballet Institute. Over the years, she continued to study dance, including Jazz and Show Dance. Since 2010, Anna has focused intensively on Cuban dances. She trained as a salsa instructor with Cuban Ram\u00f3n Silverio and she has been teaching since 2014.<\/p>\n

“I founded Flama out of a burning passion for dance and movement. Dance has brought so much energy, strength, presence and dear friends to my life and I want to be able to share this pleasure to others as well. In my classes, I want to inspire people above all to find strength and joy in everyday life through dance.”<\/p>\n

At Flama, Anna teaches Cuban Salsa (solo and couple salsa) and other Cuban dances, such as son and rumba, as well as bachata and reggaeton.<\/p>\n

In this advanced course, we deepen our knowledge of music interpretation, body movements, figures and the technique of leading and following in Cuban Couple Salsa.<\/p>\n

The course is suitable for those who have been dancing Cuban salsa weekly for several years.<\/p>\n

You can sign up either alone or with your own partner. During the lessons, partners are changed in a circle. If you wish, you can also dance only with your own partner.<\/p>\n

Anyone can participate in all Flama\u00b4s partner classes as a leader or follower, regardless of gender identity.<\/p>\n
