Welcome to this one-hour workshop focusing on getting started with pointe work, where we’ll go through the most important aspects for absolute beginners: choosing the right shoes, tips on sewing and breaking them in, simple pointe exercises at the barre, and supplementary exercises to support your pointe work. No previous experience of working in pointe shoes is necessary, and you can also take part in this session without hard-tipped pointe shoes if, for example, you’re just considering buying your first pair!

What’s it like to learn a group scene from a classical ballet? Come and try your hand at ballet ensemble work and repertoire rehearsals in a two-hour workshop, where, after a thorough warm-up, we’ll learn a scene from Prinsessa Ruusunen (Sleeping Beauty) ballet. You can look forward to mastering formations, footwork and teamwork in a friendly atmosphere!
