The amazing dancers Johanna Sallinen and Omar Bakr will return to Flama to give intensive courses of sensual bachata on Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 and in addition, there will be a special party on Saturday night. During the day on Saturday, there will be both solo and couple sensual bachata classes, on Sunday another advanced sensual bachata workshop and there in the midle on Saturday night, a dance party called Saturday Party. Incredible weekend in total, so do not miss the workshops and the party. The places for the followers have been taken already, but there are still places available for Solo Bachata Ladies Style. ABOUT THE CLASSES

\nAt the courses you’ll learn technique, musicality, body awareness & movement and patterns for social dancing. In these classes you’ll learn how to lead & follow new Bachata moves smoothly and make them comfortable & easy for you and your partner, with gracious style! All the moves are for social dancing, so don’t expect long show choreo routines. \ud83d\ude09 ”<\/p>\n

JOHANNA & OMAR
\nJohanna and Omar are versatile and experienced dancers and teachers and they teach i.a. bachata, cha cha, kizomba and salsa together. Through their I Dance Helsinki -organization, Omar and Johanna have long been building the Afro-Latin scene in Helsinki by teaching, bringing foreign artists to Finland and arranging festivals and parties in a weekly basis.<\/p>\n

Johanna has danced several different dance styles. Johanna won Salsa European Championship in 2010, so she has a lot of knowledge about dance technique and that knowledge she wants to share with her students. As a teacher, she is known for her demanding but encouraging and clear teaching.<\/p>\n

Omar’s dancing career has begun with ballroom dance, but it changed later to Afro-Latin dances. Omar’s strengths are musicality as well as his smooth and clear lead. He encourages and provides tools for each individual student\u2019s progress and improvement.<\/p>\n

For Omar and Johanna, it is important that everything learnt during the classes can be applied in a social dance setting. They emphasize the importance of leading and following as well as the learning of the basics, not forgetting musicality. Above all, dancing should be fun and feel good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

SENSUAL BACHATA WEEKEND: SATURDAY PARTY
\non Saturday, the 20th of October from 9 pm to 1 amOn Saturday, the 20th of October from 9 pm to 1 am, there will be an amazing dance party with Omar and Johanna at Dance Studio Flama. DJ Omar will be in charge of the music that night, so the main focus is on bachata but also salsa and kizomba music are played throughout the night. Now it is the best opportunity to get to practice right away what you have learn about bachata earlier that day or you can just come to feel the joy of dancing otherwise.The entrance fee is 8 \/ 7 \u20ac (the cheaper price by showing Flama’s valid punch card or Bailes Cubanos membership card). You can pay the fee either by card or cash.<\/p>\n

Remember to take your dance shoes or other indoor shoes with you because the shoes used outdoors will be left in the lobby.<\/p>\n

Dance Studio Flama is located next to Turku Castle at Linnankatu 84. Bus Line 1 (Market Square \u2013Turku Harbor) will stop just in front of Flama and the bus trip from market square to the dance studio takes around 10 minutes. Check the bus schedule at\u00a0http:\/\/www.foli.fi\/<\/a>\u00a0to choose the right time to come. If you decide to come by your own car, there are parking options nearby.<\/p>\n
