These workshop are meant for beginners, so you do not need to have any previous dance experience There will be three different solo classes, so now you have a possibility to try different styles and find your own favourite!
The classes are held at Flama Rauhankatu (Rauhankatu 15, Turku) on Saturday 12th of August 2023. The classes are suitable for everyone, regardless of gender and age.
The workshops are instructed by Anna Ketopaikka.

Reggaeton is a Latin dance and music style born in the 1990s and it has been influenced by different dance styles, for example South and Middle American dances, such as dancehall, various Afro dances as well hip hop. The roots of the reggaeton dance are for example in Panama, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
Reggaeton is characterized by strong dynamic fluctuations, polyrhythmics and playing with chest and hip isolation in particular. Both strong accents and soft sensual movements are present and they alternate in reggaeton. inter alia in Panama, Puerto Rico and Cuba. Reggaeton classes are full of power, energy and attitude!
Cuban Salsa lesson for beginners, where you can feel the beat of salsa rhythms and practice Salsa’s basic steps and technique, body use and rhythmicity.
Bachata is a sensual Latin dance that comes originally from the Dominican Republic. We especially practice foot technique and body movement language in the class. Bachata music is full of emotion and offers a lot of possibilities for various styling.
At Flama, the dances continue despite the end of the spring season. We will have social dances, Flama’s 6th Anniversary Party and Pre Christmas Party. More information coming later.
