ORIENTAL DANCE

Oriental Dance, also known as belly dance, is a soft dance style that is based on folk and female solo dances from Middle East and North Africa.

The dance class focuses on the basic movements of oriental dance, its body language and the use of the head, shoulders and hands. We will practice women’s solo dance with improvisations and drum solos as well as stage dances.

The class starts right from the basics, so you do not need to have any previous experience in oriental dance.
Bring with you: comfortable, stretchy training clothes, bare feet, socks or soft dancing shoes.

SINGING BOWL RELAXATION

The singing bowls relaxation is used for deep relaxation and stress reduction. The rich blend of harmonic overtones takes our minds to different time and space. In its best, the relaxation corresponds three hours of sleep during the night. It helps to reduce stress, insomnia, anxiousness and body tension.

Bring with you: warm, stretchy clothes and optionally a blanket. You can also bring your own pillow or use a hoodie or a shirt under your head.

HANNA HEINONEN

Hanna has been dancing oriental dance for over 15 years, and she has performed both in groups and for solo. Hanna is fascinated by the soft, beautiful and mystical body language of oriental dance. It is interesting to see how beautiful movements the body can produce.

Hanna Heinonen is a personal trainer, trained masseur, occupational therapist as well as group exercise and FAF’s fascial instructor. Hanna found the joy of dance at the age of 14, when she started oriental dance. Ever since, she has trained many different kinds of styles. During Hanna’s classes, the focus is on the joy, improvement of self-confidence and enjoying one’s own body.
