Recent news from Flama!
Flama’s most popular classes seem to be fully booked, week after week, but there are quite a lot of last-minute booking cancellations or uncancelled reservations as well. So that as many people as possible could participate in our dance classes, we want to remind you of our cancellation policies.
If you have to cancel your reservation, you can do it yourself 6 hours before the class starts at the latest via our reservation system or by sending an email to info@flama.fi. Attention! We hope that all the cancellations are done either via Avoinna24 or via email, not for example as Instagram-direct messages, text messages or via Facebook. If you have to cancel your reservation less than 6 hours before the class takes place in case of a sudden illness, do it by sending an email to info@flama.fi.
If you cancel your class less than six hours before the class starts or you do not cancel your class at all (you do not show up and you have not informed us about it in advance), you should pay for the class as a single payment or we can mark one session used in your punch card next time you come to dance with us. With this policy, we hope to reduce the number of uncancelled reservations to make sure that as many dancers as possible will fit to the dance classes.
We recommend everyone in the queue to check their email for example five hours before the class starts, since that is when most of the cancellations are already done. If you were not able to join the class after your check and you think that you are not able to make to the class in a shorter notice, we kindly ask you to cancel your spot in the queue, so that others have better possibilities to get to the class instead. Furthermore, when you cancel your spot in the queue, you do not have to worry about cancelling the class later via email.
Thank you for your cooperation, hoping to see you soon at our studio.
We want to remind you of our important guidelines so that dancing at Flama would be as safe as possible for everyone. Please read these instructions before coming to our dance studio:
The recommendation on the use of face masks is still valid in Southwest Finland and we recommend our dancers to use masks, especially in our changing rooms, waiting areas, and couple classes.
Every dancer should take care of good hand hygiene and wash/disinfect their hands every time they enter and leave the studio. Hand disinfectants are available in all our areas, so please disinfect your hands when you move from one space to another.
At the end of the class, the dance hall is exited through the front door on Linnankatu. The outdoor shoes are taken to the dance hall and placed on the bottom of the hall. The dressing rooms, toilets, and other facilities can be reached after the class by first going outside and then entering the studio normally again through our side door entrance. In this way, we can avoid that the groups of consecutive classes will not be in contact and the corridor leading to the dance hall will not get that crowded.
Please wait before the class starts preferably in the spacious dressing room downstairs until 10 past. This way we avoid overcrowding in the corridor upstairs. Please take your outdoor shoes off when you enter the studio.
The duration of each class is 55 minutes. Please leave the dance hall right after the class, so that the next group can enter the dance hall in time. The doors will be opened and the spaces ventilated between the classes. Please enter the dance hall only when the previous group has completely left the dance hall and the instructor has asked you to enter. Please avoid contact between the different groups.
If there is a queue in the reception/lobby when you arrive at the studio, we recommend you to wait a moment outside or to go downstairs first to avoid overcrowding in the lobby. Please always keep a safe distance from other dancers in the waiting areas, if it is possible.
We would like you to get ready for the class in advance by coming to the studio already in training clothes and with a filled water bottle, in order to avoid long stays in the changing rooms and toilets.
Please come to our studio only when you are completely healthy. Stay home if you have any symptoms of flu or you have any possibility of been exposed to flu or Covid-19. Please apply for a corona test in that case. If you are feeling sick or you have even the smallest flu symptoms, please cancel your class through our reservation system or by sending us an email to info@flama.fi. In case of illness, you can apply for an extension for the validity of your punch card.
Flama is cleaned every day and in addition to normal cleaning, our staff regularly disinfects contact surfaces, such as door handles.
Flama’s spring season starts on Monday, the 25th of January 2021. We will also start Matias’ and Anna’s couple salsa courses, Pinja’s couple bachata courses as well as Eve’s dancehall courses next week. Pauliina’s Heels intensive course and Juulia’s Musical Dance course start this week on Saturday. There are still a few places available for our Adult Ballet Course for Beginners, so you can still come and join us for this spring. If you are interested in joining any of our courses later, please send us an email to info@flama.fi to get further information.
We have reduced the maximum number of participants in all our classes. We hope that you will cancel your reservation as early as possible through our reservation system or by email if you are not able to come to the class. Cancellation must be made no later than 6 hours before the class starts.
All our drop-in classes can be reserved through our reservation system. Please note that reservations made in the past are valid unless cancelled. Next week from the 25th of 31st of January, all our drop-in classes cost only 6 €/class. Our spring season continues until the 20th of June 2021. Thus, our Spring Anytime is valid from the 25th of January to the 20th of June 2021. All our punch cards bought after the 30th of June 2020 will be valid until the 31st of July 2021. Please note that we highly recommend you to use face masks at our studio.
Please take good care of your hand hygiene and read our safety instructions for Covid-19 on our website before coming to our studio. Thank you for your cooperation.
