Description

During Vilma’s Lyrical Dance course, you will get to enjoy the world of music with sensitive and emotional songs. During the classes, you get to unleash your emotions through dance. Lyrical Dance takes inspirations inter alia from Contemporary Dance. Let’s enjoy it together!

Level: open level

Open level class means that anyone is able to join the class but some previous dance experience in general is recommended. However, you do not need to have previous dance experience of the dance style in question to attend.

Teacher: Vilma Kivekäs

Vilma graduated from Oulu University of Applied Sciences in the spring 2021. Vilma’s studies focused on show dance, but she is enthusiastic and interested in many different dance styles. Teaching dance is Vilma’s passion, and she wants to share the joy of dance with people of all ages.

Vilma has been described as nice and skilled dance teacher who encounters the dancers as themselves and creates a warm atmosphere in her classes. In addition, she is said to exude grace for what she does but still knowing how to challenge everyone on their own level.

As a dance teacher, Vilma wants to create a safe and developing atmosphere. She wants to share her skills and passion as well as learn interactively from dancers and colleagues to develop herself and her teaching skills.
