Lyrical jazz combines elements of jazz and ballet technique with contemporary dance. During the classes, we will start with a warm-up and then work on a choreograhy that is built around beautiful music. We will utilise the story of the music in movements, dynamics and expression.
The course is instructed by Liisa Laihia.
Liisa graduated as a dance teacher from Savonia University of Applied Sciences in 2020, jazz dance as her major. She graduated as a dancer from North Carelia Vocational School in 2016. Liisa has experience in teaching various dance styles to different groups. At the moment, she works as a dance teacher in Turku region and as a dancer in Tampere at Dance Theater MD.
The interaction between music and movement as well as choreography are Liisa’s greatest interests. As an instructor, Liisa is inspiring and encouraging. he creates a happy atmosphere with her own energy. For Liisa, dancing is not only a profession but it is also a joy in life and she wants to share this joy of dance with everyone.
