Back to the 80´s! Mirka Saali’s 80’s-inspired Chairlesque Workshop will take you to the nostalgic 1980’s. If you want, you can wear your coolest clothes from the 80’s and take the most of this Saturday workshop! During the workshop, we will work on a Show Burlesque choreography that includes chairs. The choreography includes floorwork, so it is recommended to bring own knee pads with you.

Please bring your own knee pads or leg warmers to the workshop to protect your knees.
Show Burlesque combines show dance and burlesque with charming seduction and flirtation.
You can dance with your socks or toe pads, we do not recommend you to wear any dance sneakers during the class. Normal flexible clothes work fine, but you are more than welcome to wear something around given themes if you feel like (for example fishnet tights).
Open level means that anyone can join the class, but previous experience in some dance style is recommended. You can definitely join the workshop if you have any dance experience, even if it is not in Show Burlesque or Chairlesque.
Mirka has a long history of different dance styles. She started dancing at the age of seven with ballroom dancing and continued until her teenage years. She found dance again in 2010 and got into Latin rhythms, especially Cuban dances. After that, she has tried various dance styles, such as Broadway, twerk, pole dance and different couple dances. However, Show Burlesque took her heart and gave a whole new meaning for dancing. None of Mirka’s classes is identical. Years of experience is reflected in insightful and skilled choreographies that have been inspired by all the dance styles Mirka has danced. As a teacher, Mirka is compelling and purposeful but still easy-going. There is always a cheerful atmosphere in the classes. It is important to Mirka that the joy of dancing is present in her teaching, as well as the enjoying of the music, own movements and the crossing of boundaries.
Mirka has been part of different dance groups. Earlier she was the choreographer and one of the dancers in the Show Burlesque dance group called glamGRLS’n’pantyHOES.
