Barre class is a hybrid workout class – combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Barre workouts are intensely focused on improving core strength, developing the stabilizing muscles of the shoulder and hip girdles and enhancing flexibility. To attend the class, you do not need to have any previous dance experience, it is suitable for everyone. The class does not include a choreography but various series of moments with multiple repetitions. It consists for example of plié and tendu series and ballet bar aka barre exercises.
