Dancehall is a street dance that was born in Jamaica and it continues to develop. During the Dancehall Queenstyle class, we will concentrate on women’s own dance style. Attitude, feminine moves, steps and possibly also acrobatics will be involved. Bring a water bottle and knee pads or leg warmers to the class to protect your knees.
Oona started dancing with salsa and other Cuban dances. Later she continued with Kizomba, Urban Kiz and Dancehall. Oona goes regularly to European kizomba festivals and in 2018, she finished the first part of Curtis Seldon and Carola Tauler’s Urban Kiz Instructor Degree and videoed a virtual Kizomba Fusion course with Ronie Saleh. Oona also educates herself continuously by going to Jamaican and European Dancehall teachers’ classes and visiting Jamaica to train. Besides, Oona’s university thesis was about Dancehall.
